All members of staff at the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust are required to possess an NHS Badge, which is to be worn on a lanyard when on any NSFT sites to remain identifiable; this will be issued on day one of the Trust Induction. You will only be required to supply one photo of yourself and you will receive confirmation by email once it meets the acceptable standard. If it does not comply with the requirements listed below you will be asked to provide a replacement photo. The photo must be: clear, sharp and in focus in colour only. Black and white or sepia photos are not acceptable taken as you would dress on a normal working day without any form of manipulation or filter if you are taking a “selfie” you must be facing directly towards the camera and the image must be upright (not from an angle) Background Photos must have a background which: has no shadows has uniform lighting no flash reflection on the face, head or glasses Have a plain background in a neutral colour, preferably pale Photo Style The following must be complied with: face forward and look straight at the camera. If you are providing a ‘selfie, it must not be taken at an angle your face, head, and shoulders must be shown with a clear gap between yourself and the edge of the photo (see examples on page 4) eyes open and clearly visible. Glasses are allowed, if you are still identifiable. Sunglasses are not acceptable free from reflection or glare, including on glasses. no head covering unless you usually wear one for religious beliefs or medical reasons. If this is the case, your face must be unobscured (see example on page 4) with no other objects or people in the photo no shadows on the picture, either on your image or the background. This includes taking your picture with a door behind you no ‘red-eye’ Photo Quality Photo must: be taken against a plain, preferably pale background be clear and in sharp focus be taken within the last month be in colour be in a digital format. Do not send in Word Document or PDF file. Using a Smart Phone Please note that these are generic instructions will vary slightly depending on the type of phone you use Select the camera button on your phone If taking your own photo then please click on the camera switch icon until you see your face on the screen. Move the phone until your head and shoulders are centred in the photo with plenty of space around them. Press the relevant button on your phone to take the photo. Press Share Photo and select your email icon, your email will open and with the photo attached.
